They were so nice
So friendly
Leading him to their car with every word
"We're like you... gay"
They said.
It was nice for the boy
To be able to talk to men who understood
He got in their automobile
The drove him
To a fence
And tied him to it
Beating him
Until he lost thought
And blacked out
In the morning
A biker first mistook him
For a Scarecrow
Until he saw the hair
The boy died
He was so innocent
So sweet and nice
He was killed
For being Himself
And for loving
The "unnatural" way

I don't really like this one. It's about Matthew Shepard who was beaten (Oct. 6, 1998) for being gay. He died in a hospital on October 12, 1998.

Stuff like that makes me want to hold those people at gunpoint and say "Why can't you understand?!"
Everyone deserves a chance to be themselves without judgement. I honestly don't see how people can live in the kind of society where people are killed for being gay. That's just not right...
